- re-flashed the firmware, twice (dd-wrt.v24_std_generic.bin, and then dd-wrt.v24_vpn_generic.bin)
- reset to default factory setting and reconfigured
- dozens of wireless configuration tweaks
Nothing worked. It seems the wireless module is broken. As far as I can remember, the AP was at my mom's. There was a sudden loss of power on the lines and when it came back my mom called to ask me to check it. She was unable to connect to the wireless network. I gave her a backup solution and forget about the event. So, my conclusion is that the power failure kicked my router in the nuts
Now I only have a router, no more wireless, no more space free connection
Damn you power line, and damn you Linksys... for no obvious reason, just for making stuff that breakes if you cut their power
I'm sad.
